At Codebits 2008 this was my idea. Like all great ideas, there was someone in the world that had it first and implemented.

SitOrSquat is a web based index of public bathrooms. If we thing a little, we realize that public bathrooms is the biggest social network that exist on earth. Offering technology to this network will always be a winning deal.

SitOrSquat is awesome in addition of providing the basic map-mashup and rating system that other services provide, Sit or Squat users can provide and browse photographs of the restrooms in question.

The users can earn $500 in a contest, by visiting and adding toilets in the world. The one that gather more toilets on the site wins. The “toilet seeker” or “toilet scouts” will help with the creation of the biggest public network ever made online. I am thinking of doing this as way of living…ok maybe not.

The application is available for iPhones and Blackberries, enabling GPS based directions to the nearest bathroom. I hope they rank the list of bathrooms?!

Currently the service is available in several US and UK metropolitan areas such as New York, Chicago, Seattle and London respectively.
